Some facts about the Mercury
- As being close to the sun it has, the daytime temperature reaches 400℃(752℉).
- At night, however, the planet without temperature reaches down at-180℃(-292℉).
- It has a very low surface gravity.
- Mercury has no atmosphere, therefore, there is no wind or wheater to speak.
- Likewise, there is no air but it could be underneath.
- The planet mercury has the length of the year of 88 Earth days.
- From the surface of the Mercury, the sun appears as three times larger as viewed from Earth.
- It is only slighting larger than Earth's moons.
- It is more interesting that, on the planet, Mercury the days are longer than Years (Day>Year on Mercury). It takes 59 Earth days.
- One day-night cycle on Mercury takes 175.97 Earth days. Mercury makes a complete orbit around the Sun (a year in Mercury time) in just 88 Earth days.
Mercury Transit by sun-November 2009
(source:nationalgeographic) - Mercury's thin atmosphere is composed mostly of Oxygen(O2), Hydrogen (H2 ), Helium(He) and potassium(K). Atoms that are blasted off the surface by the solar wind and micrometeoroid impacts create Mercury's exosphere.
- There are no rings around Mercury.
- It is tough to place to live because it has no atmosphere due to this the temperature increase and decreases at a very large scale.
- The Sun appears big from the surface of the Mercury as standing on the surface of Mercury it appears Three times larger than Earth.
