The planet is known to have an atmosphere containing free oxygen, oceans of water on its surface. It is larger than the three other rocky planets like Mercury, Venus, Mars.
Structure of Earth
The structure of the earth is like this:-
Crust:
It is the outermost layer of earth. It termed as the lithosphere. All the soil and the minerals are present in the crust. All tectonic plates make the crust.
Mantle:
It is the second layer of the earth. It contains molten metals and molten stones collectively known as magma or lava. All tectonic plates float on the streams of magma present in the mantle.
Outer Core:
Earth's outer core is a fluid layer about 2400 km thick and composed of mostly iron and nickel that lies above the Earth's solid inner core and below its mantle. Its outer boundary lies 2,890 km (1,800 mi) beneath Earth's surface. Unlike the inner (or solid) core, the outer core is liquid.
